SEGMENT 3: ENSURING INCLUSIVE AND SAFE ONLINE SPACES FOR YOUTH IN ASIA AND THE PACIFIC
With an emphasis on protecting and securing civic spaces, this segment looked at the challenges faced by marginalized and excluded youth in engaging in public and civic spaces. Focus was placed on tools and strategies leveraged by specific individuals and groups to meaningfully engage and ensure visibility and inclusion of their concerns and human rights issues at the national and international level. Critical stakeholders, relations, values, actions, and structures needed to improve their situation were addressed in separate break-out sessions.
