Jann Adriel Nisperos, The Philippines

Picture

Jann Adriel Nisperos is currently a junior studying Development Communication at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). He is a member of the UP Model United Nations where he works under the Ministry of Documentations and Properties. He is also the Publicity Director of the UP Roadperson’s Organization for Advocacies in Development Tourism and Recreation in the Philippines.
His interest in the Sustainable Development Goals started after completing an introductory course to development communication in UPLB. Jarin now advocates for sustainable development in the Philippines through active participation, empowerment and collaboration, making the SDGs relevant among grassroots communities, promoting responsible tourism, environmentalism, and understanding of local histories and cultures in the Philippines. Adriel aspires to pursue a career in knowledge management and work for the United Nations someday. He believes that through communication, we are able to bridge gaps between communities and create enabling environments for all.
